What are Oeko-Tex and GOTS?
Because we want to leave our little ones a cleaner planet, Milk Away has committed to a sustainable and responsible approach by using GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified textiles, the leading standard for organic fabrics in the world.
The entire production chain must meet very demanding criteria. The GOTS agricultural standards for cotton cultivation are strict: no chemicals, no GMOs , resulting in clean soil, reduced air pollution, low water and energy consumption, and protection for farmers. They are also guaranteed protection and fair compensation according to ILO social standards.
We hope you're still with us? Because it's not over yet! In addition to GOTS, we've also opted for the Oeko-Tex standard.
Oeko-Tex is another international label that guarantees textiles free from pesticides and heavy metals (such as lead or cadmium). It monitors production and awards the "Made in Green" certification, which provides information on fabric traceability, the absence of toxic substances, and compliance with producers' working conditions.
Reducing our ecological footprint: an obvious choice
That's why we consider sustainable solutions down to the smallest detail! For our packaging, we offer two solutions depending on the size of the parcels: large or small packaging? In both cases, we ensure that we do not pollute.
Our plant-based plastic shipping bag is certified “OK Compost!”, fully biodegradable and compostable. And for larger orders, we offer a shipping box made from at least 90% recycled materials and completely recyclable . You have no excuse not to order for the whole family!
