How do I find my size after giving birth?

First thing first, you will need a tape measure.

To know what size you are, you will need to take certain measurements: chest, waist and hips. Measurements are taken standing up in a relaxed, upright position.

Position the tape measure around the part to be measured, holding it firmly and without pinching. Where the strip crosses, is the measurement to be taken as a reference.

1. Bust

Stand up straight and pass the tape measure around your chest and over your breasts (pass the tape under your arms and over the shoulder blades around your back) after exhaling normally. When doing so, make sure that the tape measure is neither too loose nor too tight, that it lies flat on your chest.

2. Waist

With your fingers, look for the top of your hips and the bottom of your ribs. The soft, fleshy part between the two bony parts is your natural waist. It is also the thinnest part of your chest, usually at the same level or above your belly button. Wrap it around your waist. Stand up straight and breathe normally.

Place the end of the tape measure over your belly button and wrap it around your waist and over your back. The tape measure should be parallel to the ground and pressed firmly against your skin without sinking into it.

Exhale and look at the measurement on the tape where it crosses the end with the 0. The number you see at this point is your waist size.

3. Hips

To properly measure your hip size, the tape measure should be placed around your pelvis at its strongest point. This location may vary, depending on your morphology. It is said that the hip circumference is generally about 20 centimetres/ 8 inches around the waist, in the pelvic area. For some women, it will be lower, at the level of the bum. Don't get too formal about the location, the important thing is to measure your pelvis where it is the widest.

What is my body morphology ?

The women's morphology can be divided into six categories according to the characteristics of each body. It is very important to understand that there are no good or bad morphologies and that there is no such thing as a perfect body shape !

Morphology in A, this is the most classic and most common morphology in women. It is characterized by rather thin shoulders and larger hips.

Our nursing jumper "la crème de la crème" will draw attention to your upper body by adding volume to your silhouette.

Our nursing top "Rive gauche/Rive droite" will allow you to redesign your shoulders without enhancing the width of your pelvis.

Morphology in 8, is also a classic female silhouette, the hips and shoulders are of the same dimensions but the waist is more marked. The shapes are rather well rounded and voluptuous.

Your waist naturally attracts attention and will be your main beauty asset!

To highlight it, you can

  • Choose tops with shoulder and bust details like our nursing jumper "la crème de la crème".
  • Accentuate the shoulders and hips to further slim your waist by using tops with mixed shoulder details like our nursing t-shirt "Milk Away since 20...". - accompanied with classic straight pants or carrot pants.
  • Mark your waist and refine it with a slim fit close to the body with our very elegant nursing jumpsuit "love is in the air".

Morphology in X is similar to the morphology in 8 but the curves are less marked and more rigid. They are generally thinner or sporty women.

Similar to the morphology in 8, you stand out with a slimmer-looking silhouette. You can therefore apply the same tips while trying to emphasize your waist by keeping a nice balance between your shoulders and your hips.

Favour curved and close-fitting models that will naturally enhance your shape like our nursing top "Rive gauche/Rive droite" or our trendy jumpsuit "love is in the air"

Morphology in V, the silhouette of the sporty woman par excellence, the shoulders wider than the hips.

With a developed top, the objective will be to favor flared models like our nursing t-shirt "Milk Away since 20..." . With their particular shape, they will naturally put your waist and hips forward and will easily feminize your silhouette.

You can also try our straight nursing dress "la vie en rose" with a boat neckline that softens the stature.

Morphology in H is a rather straight silhouette with shoulders and hips of similar size and particularly a slightly marked waist.

Well-rounded silhouette. To add a touch of femininity, simply mark your waist a little more. Here, our nursing jumper "who run the world ? Mums" will do the trick perfectly. Prefer fluid models for your upper body that will add volume to your silhouette like our nursing black t-shirt in carbon lin.

Morphology in O, the hips and shoulders are fairly unmarked and fade to the chest, which is often generous.

The objective is clear: to draw and lengthen your silhouette. The idea would be to opt for fluid clothing but not too loose. Choose straight cuts rather than flared, always with a view to keeping a light silhouette. We think our carbon nursing t-shirt and our nursing t-shirt "who run the world ? Mums" would look great on you!

With your voluptuous and feminine shapes, you can be sure to catch everyone's eyes!
